Founded in 1969 by a family originally from Cetara, a small village off the Amalfi Coast which is famous for its anchovies. The pursuit of quality has always been crucial to the company's production that reflects tradition. All production takes place entirely in Italy near Salerno.

Sapori di Mare produces tuna fillets in a glass jar as it maintains the high quality of the product. Taste and health are important to the company, so the tuna is only produced with extra virgin olive oil. The added value of high quality extra virgin olive oil is a valuable part in enhancing the flavour and authenticity.
The anchovies are caught is the spring and summer from the boats of Cetara called 'Lampare' because the lights attract the fish to the nets. This is a traditional technique of encircling, when anchovies are hoisted in the boat they are still alive. Today the processing of anchovies is by hand, respecting the tradition passed down for generations which help enhance the products quality and taste.
